Before digging deep into the coconut peat based product range, let’s take a look at what coco peat actually is and why it is growing in demand in the agriculture industries. In this article we will also discuss the various forms of coco peat, its applications and directions to use this spongy coconut material.

What is Coco Peat?

Coco Peat, also known as coco pith, coco peat or simply coir dust, is natural fiber particles that are made out of coconut husks by extracting bristle fibers from inside the coarse husk. In other words, coco peat is a spongy material that binds the coconut fiber in the husks.  Once the loose coco peat is obtained, it is then dried naturally under the sun and subsequently processed to create various items, such as coco peat blocks, coco peat bricks, coco peat powder, etc.
